Butch, you might not know this, but a couple people on our board do not believe in the First Amendment...Brian is one of them.

From the April minutes:

Web Site
After some discussion regarding administration of the site, it was decided to table further
discussion until the next meeting of the board.

This is all that was in the minutes, but let me tell you the rest of the story. When I was on the board a couple years ago, I helped implement the new website and have been the administrator ever since. I post the minutes, financials, stories, send out the emails, and help residents who have trouble logging in. I do this for free and am glad to do it. I have never posted anything negative on the other site or censored anything anyone else has posted.

Earlier this year, I posted complaints on this message board after some board members decided to go after our portable basketball goals. Brian did not like that, so at the April meeting he and at least one other board member said that I should no longer be allowed to administer the other site because of my posts on this site.

Who knows, he may try to do it again now that I have posted this, but I don't think he has the support of most of the other members. Members who do believe in free speech and, in my opinion, do a very good job serving this community. I served with many of them and they are good people who are just trying to do what is best for the community. We don't need to throw out the whole board, just a couple of the members.

Either way, I will not give up my right to post on here just because I might lose my right to administer the other site. Just be careful what you say or Brian may attempt to stop you from picking up trash or doing other volunteer work.
