Just a couple quick notes -

There were follow e-mails not included in the minutes clarifying what the letter should state and who it should be addressed to. So I think the spirit of the letter changed after the HOA meeting ended - and as of last week - it was still changing. I believe the letter is going to be intended on reminding everyone about the rules we signed. No one on the board was thrilled about the heat we knew would be coming when we started talking about the hoops and garbage cans and all. I encourage anyone to come to the next meeting - you can see for yourself that we are trying to clear up the covenants. I agree though that the minutes do not reflect the changes that took place after the meeting.

As for the wifi:
"...further discussion be tabled to another meeting of the board." Just my personal opinion - I think Jerry was being polite in front of the company representatives. The entire board agreed that the costs were too high. We were looking at how to do wireless cameras in the common area - that's what brought that up. Again - the minutes in my opinion, didn't allowed readers to realize intent. When something gets tabled for another meeting - it implies that item is dead unless someone brings it up again.

As for recycling -
We all agreed that no one wants to pay $21 a month more to get recycling in place. We wondered if there was a company that could offer a program, where recycling was included, for less than what we are paying now. We are NOT trying to find ways to raise HOA dues. No one wants to do that. I know from my time working at the City, Mount Juliet was exploring ways to bring recycling programs into the city. So I think it's coming in one fashion or another. I guess time will tell.

The minutes are similar to e-mail - you don't get the tone and tenor of the words or the message. Text can be limiting and the real intent doesn't always come across. I'm sure past Board members can attest to the fact that some times things in the minutes can come across in a different light than they were meant.

I hope that helps.
