Did Gene Autry need a reason to fight evil?

You think Hopalong Casidy got permission before he killed evil?  Heck he killed evil EVERY WEEK and he didn't need a reason!

Nobody dared ask Roy Rogers what his reason was, if they did Dale Evans would of probably kicked them right where it hurts!

Bet you think the Lone Ranger had to have a reason before he plugged holes in those evil ones with his silver bullets!!   Ya know what Powell remind me to call up the Secretary of Defense later - I want the Marine Corp band to be playing the William Tell Overture when our troops cross into Iraq to INSPIRE THEM!  Heck with his lil injun buddy,  you know the one the masked man called "stupid" (tonto) for years,  he didn't need no reason - he was just like me, he knew evil when he saw it!   Cept ya know I kinda been thinken (don't remind me I know that it gives me those headaches) anyway I been thinken that them two were sort of funny if you know what I mean! Not truly sure that masked man (if he was a real man) was entitled to that white hat!!  I'll have to ask God bout that one of these days if ah remember!
