What can we learn from this?

1. Your founding fathers obviously spoke/wrote European English.

2. US Americans sometimes have trouble to sort out singular and plural, eg. 'headquarters is saying', 'bacteria is spreading'.

3. Dubya and his geezer junta will still claim to respect and protect the constitution even when the power to levy war will be all they have left intact.
