ACTUALLY ROB I DON'T THINK THAT THE TRUTH SHOULD JUST BE RESERVED FOR GAY BASHERS!!  IF WE CANNOT EXPRESS OURSELVES AS TO OUR OPINIONS ABOUT THE LEADERS / POLITICIANS THAT ARE IN OFFICE THEN WHAT KIND OF SOCIETY DO WE HAVE - CERTAINLY NOT ONE WORTH DEFENDING AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED.

POLITICIANS ARE LIKE LAWYERS (which most of them are), IMHO maybe 5% of the lawyers in the country are COMPLETELY HONEST and it's those 5% that tend to make the other 95% look good - as in honest, caring, capable and compassionate and the same holds true for politicians.  The wool over the eyes is not too unexpected considering the feeble mindedness and the sheep mentality of the Average American (50% or so of the population) who still believe dubya is not lying to them.
