I decided that I have had it fully and completely.
Until the Duck will be back this board is moderated. I'm on GMT +1 which means I'm 6 to 9 hours off your time, so you may have to be a bit patient.
Anonymous flames directed against other posters will not be accepted.

This is about an ill-advised post in which the poster hurt himself more than any other post in the following flame war did (IMHO of course, others will see this differently). This is about the desire of people to add their 2 cents when they fully know that they only feed the frenzy. This is about the ready preparedness of people to judge and condemn on hearsay and being proud of it. This is about people taking their anger to the vent board and then complaining that the bitch & vent board is, well, a place where people bitch and vent. This is about people who readily move the infights on their own boards to the vent board to keep their own boards clean and then join the witch hunt.

This hypocrisy already cost me more than the whole fracas is worth. I'm not prepared to spend any more time and effort on it than is necessary. Apart from closing the board completely (what I actually did for a while) moderating seems the best solution to me and I'll stick to it until the Duck is back.
