Subject: Freakin online drama!

Well I think I have set a new personal record. I was invited to join an IRC chatroom for gay fiction about 6 weeks ago, give or take a bit. Its a small bunch of people that met on another board and have become friends. For awhile my interaction was very sporadic, since my dial up has issues with it. On the urging of one member, a woman, I downloaded mIRC and have been using the 30 day trial version. I have 5 days to go on it.
All right, so I have been hanging out there and I "clicked" real well with the main guy. A really good looking bi guy from Dallas Texas, he's in a relationship with a guy and I am married, but that has never stopped us from flirting and having a good time online. Some in the chat room and some on private message. I like the kid, he's 27, a very lot. He does more for my ego than my hubby does. *shrug* But I'm an adult, I know talktalk when I hear it.
Well, yesterday he informs me that we have to STOP any and all types of flirting in the chat room because its been "annoying" others. I am like WTF? Usually I get thrown out for being in your face combative! This time I have behaved very well and I am being chastised for being TOO friendly!? It isn't as if we've had cybersex in the middle of the chat room! After midnight, it has gotten naughtier but hardly more than PG13.(theres usually not many people there at that time)
I know who has complained. One woman, the on who urged me to get mIRC, told me she was jealous of all the flirting he does with another woman and me. (Read that BOTH of us). Apparently, and Bri agreed when I vented to him, she has been used to thinking of this guy as her own personal property, since she has met him and all. And she had almost kittens when I posted a message from him in the chat room, when I was on the phone with him.
I mean holy shit! This one reason I hang out at gay sites,so I don't have to deal with all this damned societal bullshit and jealousy. I should mention that, the afore mentioned woman, is 46 making her 19 yrs older than him! Frankly I'm not going to get my panties in a knot over someone young enough to be my child! And he's in a MALE/MALE RELATIONSHIP! Helloo! Reality check here lady!

Anyway, usually it takes month and months before some drama involving me can be manufactured and get me thrown off the board or whatever. I'm not thrown off yet, but I am surely NOT feeling as at home and comfortable as I was a week ago. Yeah, four days ago he said "when I come to visit" this morning it was "if I come". Bleh..

I told Bri, I gonna stop hanging at places where the membership is less than 5,000. Then I'm just another lemming in the crowd!

Either that or I gotta learn not respond when someone is nice to me....

Perhaps you have forgotten the various movies .. all dramas, that a couple of 'Europeans' and various Americans residing in the Southwest participated in not that long ago.  Well at least they had met and their emotions were based on REAL/LIFE situations - doesn't necessarily justify some of the realities that occurred but at least makes them understandable....

How people can get in such a tizzy such as this other Female when their primary contact with another is through copper phone lines a CRT and a Keyboard I'll never understand but alas now days it seems that many feel that they can declare their "TRUE LOVE" for another human being that they have never met in person.  Personally I think those that do so have never experienced that emotion nor comprehend the depth and meaning those words should convey and I also think that casual declarations of LOVE denigrate the word and all that it conveys.  Guess I'm just a very old old old Duck who believes one can get to know another online, one can learn to like another online, one can find lots of things in common with one online, and it is even possible that individuals who meet online may AFTER MEETING fall in Love as I know those who have ....but I STILL BELIEVE THAT LOVE IS MAGICAL, MYSTICAL and SPIRITUAL and IT HAPPENS WHEN IT HAPPENS - but it doesn't happen to those who have never met each other in R/L.

Yes I realize that you were talking about flirting and not Love but I only had Duck Sermon 00.3685 handy so that's what you get!! So what is the Duck really saying ??? How the hell should I know except perhaps....

TIS ALL A GAME MY DEAR ...DON'T GET SO SERIOUS OVER IT THAT IT GETS YOU IN A TIZZY   CAUSE IN THE OVERALL PICTURE OF THINGS  IT IS ALL LESS SIGNIFICANT THEN THE SMALLEST GRAIN OF SAND IN THE BOTTOM OF THE OCEAN     MUCH MUCH LESS SIGNIFICANT!!

There always have been those both children and adult alike, that if others are not willing to play the game THEIR WAY - they will do their damndest to ruin it for everyone or in kid's vernacular "those are MY RULES and if you don't like them, it's MY BALL and I'll just take it and go home".

For children and adults alike who act in such a manner the appropriate response is tactful manipulation and to do so utilizing wit and intelligence so that they don't even realize that they are being manipulated and ultimately are acting in a manner that not only had they been maneuvered into but which would have been appropriate in the first place.

The inappropriate response is to have a huge temper tantrum and VENT LOUDLY at them and call them all the APPROPRIATE AND INAPPROPRIATE NAMES ....OH BUT SOMETIMES THAT FEELS OH SO GOOOOOD ...     even for a duck!

I was about 20 years older then James when we met and over a period of 9 years we went from fuck buddies, to friends, to best friends, to lovers, and ultimately to soul mates who are united forever. He is part of me and I of him. Oh and we remained 'fuck buddies' throughout the 9 years even when we were "making Love".

I was the one that put up defenses and road blocks because of the age difference (we were both legal adults when we met)- the age difference never really mattered to him - of the two of us he was in many ways far wiser then this old duck!

It happens when it happens!

I'm waiting for a cat fight to happen in there! it's so much more interesting than talk about "how's life" You need to SPICE IT UP! *grin* Uh oh. Who here thinks that I've gotten myself a lady chasing after me with a wooden spoon? *grin* uh oh. *hides from Kris* *peeks head up* Someone save me! Okay okay, here's my take. I know who she's referring to, and i experienced first hand her possessiveness. It just takes time to get used to it. If you don't like it tell her. *Grin* But you know what? Whatevers she says, it don't matter, what matters is what HE thinks. *grin* She doesn't rule your world. right? hehehe Nothing to tell us? ;);) Al

Yup, all I care about is what HE thinks! And since he spent an hour on the phone with me last night trying to tech my computer.. well I'd say what he thinks is pretty obvious.

And no matter what he tells y'all I do NOT have a joisey accent!

Yep, he is moving in and going to start job hunting here in good ole Utah!
Decided after his 2 week visit in May, that he loved us to death and that Utah wasn't as bad as everyone thinks it is!

So life is good .. and I am happy!

And not in a good way!

I think I have been the cash cow. Fuck, stupid middle aged ladies(me) taken in by young guys... and now Sugar Mommy is finished! Done! Not gonna put out another fucking cent for him. He can mooch off his girlfriend from now on since being with her has become his number one priority.

I have rearranged my work schedule, changing hours and taking time off that I can't afford twice in the last month, only to have him change his plans at the last minute!

I have put out way more money than I am willing to admit on him.

Fuckin hell, I loved him!

But I see now I was a means to an end. I should have known when he called me a bitch the first time.. I just ignored it coz he was drunk.

I'm going to Washington next month... if I thought I could manage it I wouldn't return. Shit I just want my house and my life back.

point you will probably hear all that you have heard before, might even be some tears (use to work on me in similar situations NO MORE) ETC ETC ....You know the true realities of the situation and you know what you need (which is not always what you may want) GO FOR IT GIRL AND DON'T TAKE NO SHIT - DON'T BE USED NOR ABUSED - THE SOONER YOU DO WHAT YOU KNOW YOU WILL ULTIMATELY HAVE TO DO ANYWAY THE BETTER OFF YOU WILL BE.

end of Duck Sermon #3693.379 that will be 99cents please.

Well I am getting out of town the end of this month. HAve a fun filled week planned up in Washington for just SIAH AND ME!

I have cut off all financial support for him, except room and board and food. We'll see what happens. At the moment I am moving through self pity into apathy. I figured by the time he returns from California I won't give a damn.

I told him let his girlfriend cart him around since she loves an entourage.

I think if I passive agressive it the situation will take care of itself. He moved to me when his former roomie mentioned the dreaded "j" word(job) and said he couldn't afford to keep him.

So I figure if I just stop paying for any extras for him , he'll move on. And since the gf has bought him a couple meals, a DVD burner and is getting his hair cut and dyed today he's well on the way to exhausting her resources as well!

ORRRRRRR when she decides he's too expensive, he'll be crying on my shoulder.....

[> [> Subject: Wow, K - I missed quite a little drama here! Didn't scroll down far enough past all the depressing politics. Hope things are better. Remember who is number 1 and who is number 2 (family who really loves ya - well, I can't be sure of Bri cuz he's so quiet, but I think so! ;-) ) and that leaves a distant #3 (leftovers) for our friend. Hang in there, babe.
