You bet I am, angry as hell.

It's a scandal how the US extreme right and neocons are trying to ruin the UN - revenge for not supporting the invasion in Iraq and the surge of terrorrism caused by Bush and his con men, huh? Welcome to the Fourth Reich - get ready for a wild ride to absolute disaster.

And at home? Disgusting too, but more annoying than dangerous (not that there wasn't space for development), certainly not threatening world peace (yeah, right!) as the US of A's antics. The conservative opposition here can't think of any better policies than the current administration so they are trying to play the patriot card. Patriotism, one of mankind's apocalyptic curses. Will people never learn?

[> Subject: Well put. I recently received a stack of greeting cards with a waving flag (and nothing else) on them as part of a business promo package. They were defective and I asked for replacements, hoping for a different card. I honestly don't feel like I can send those out to my friends and family considering what the flag means to so many right now. "Patriotism" has always made me a little uncomfortable. Guess I'm definitely not soldier material!
