By the build up from 96c dated the 25/9/03--huge amount of money going into the stock--rising from that point--I would say even though it hasn't been announced yet--re MTC meeting--that ERG have got San Fran 2.

I would like to say I'm not a bulltwang artist you know--I really am building up afresh--and I really am wiped out on the market--do not think I've put on a BB show here that is not real and genuine. --BK (Steve.

I'm not using the BB in a promotional sense either negatively or positively--just truthfully and factually--believe me with the pressures I've been under--it would be easy to ramp like crazy--it achieves no useful end--I don't believe in it--just the truth and accuracy--that is all.--BK.

BB's are full of short term traders--I am flat out in 4 years thinking of one investor--I'm reasonably well known through BB's--over the years the daytrader contacts--theri only wish is to manipulate--they never read a BB for info--all they want is herdal--they already know the info--I say to them well if you bothered to read anything that is posted--you wouldn't have any anxieties over ERG--you wouldn't place pressures (that I don't need) onto me--and you'd know how to value appropiately--but no it is a constant game I play though BB's--it's an unwilling game on my part--I find myself in it. I don't wish to be in it.--Just the stockmarket--I do stockmarket--not peoples heads. My head is stuffed enough--without being stuffed any further.--BK.

Out of respect for the sensitivities of both shorter and shortee--I'm not going to make any more short term comments on ERG--I am going to just simply say--that on both a charting and fundamental perspective at this stage in the reconstructive process for ERG--based on an accredited understanding of it's accounts and years of stockmarket experience--backed up by factual analysis. The valuation of 1 dollar for ERG is appropiate--so whatever it does from this point--for the reasons stated I value at a dollar.
No further posts--best wishes to everybody.

The same coutesy is not done to me--noted my IP protocl pinched and a recent post deleted at Stockhouse (truly mind numbing behaviour) Translink full approved--just taking down notes of meeting the MTC had at the moment--AC transit are particuarly aggresive in installing the system--below is a news article from BART website--they have finally said yes---so now all transit operators have agreed.--no further posts--please note the cyclical nature of the share--dates and times are very important.--Best wishes everybody--let me rue the day I ever posted on a BB.---Steve.

BART moves ahead with regional "smart card"

09.25.2003

The BART Board of Directors approved moving ahead with a regional smart card program called "TransLink" which will provide a single universal fare instrument for travel on the region's major transit systems.

The approval by the BART Board reflects agreement reached with the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) to ensure BART customers who opt to use TransLink will continue to have access to key services and options available with the existing BART ticket.

Thomas Margro, BART's General Manager, said the agreement will provide an attractive and convenient product to BART's customers and help ensure a strong market for TransLink.

"The agreement will ensure that BART customers receive the same level of benefits from use of the TransLink card as are available to other transit system customers," Margro said.

"We will now be able to continue to offer the 6.25 percent discount currently available to BART high value ticket customers with the added convenience of a single regional smart card." The agreement also ensures that customers will be able to add value into the TransLink cards in BART stations from the ticket vending machines and not be limited to only adding value at offsite locations, or by using the "auto-load" feature.

"This will make replenishing the TransLink cards with value when needed, easy and convenient," Margro said.

The TransLink card, which has completed the first phase of a pilot program begun January, 2002, acts as a debit card which is simply reloaded when the value is low or used up.

Hi Bonkers, you said “.....
I have found as a general rule--odd numbers are bullish--even numbers are bearish--this is true when the share price goes down as well as up. Odd is bullish if you are shorting it downwards--as well as when you are shorting it upwards.—BK”
May I question a couple of things which have caught my eye. Shorting it upwards???
Is this an error of speech or actually something I am not aware of. Can you expand on this please?

How can a number be both bullish going long as well as short? Is that if taken into consideration of its trend? Ie bullish long if trend upward, bullish short if trend downward.

Odd numbers bullish, even numbers bearish?
How have you come by this?
Have you actually tested this out somehow with backtests, do you have proof of this from other sources?
An interesting theory which I hadn’t heard of before.

Odd numbers being eg 70 cents or 71 cents?
Even numbers being eg 60 cents or 66 cents?
What about 1 dollar, is this an odd or an even? (may be seen as $1.00-odd or 100cents-even)

Rome Restructure Contracts Signed

ERG Group is pleased to announce that the contracts for the restructure of its Rome–ATAC
project, as announced to the market on 3 September 2003, have now been signed.
A total of $50.8 million is payable to ERG as follows:
• $27.9 million as the first instalment of the purchase for the ticketing hardware. This
amount is payable within 15 days of signing ($10.2 million of it has already been
paid). A further $7.8 million is due within six months.
• $10.0 million for the rights to use ERG’s software, payable within one month.
• $5.1 million for additional software and training services, payable within a maximum
of 12 months.
ERG and ATAC—the Rome public transport agency—have agreed the process for
establishing a new company to operate the Rome system. The joint venture company, to
be owned 30% by ERG, will have an eight-year contract to operate the ticketing system and
is expected to earn annual revenues of $35–40 million. The new company will also pay
ERG an annual licence and software maintenance fee of $1.9 million.
The immediate profit and loss impact of the restructure to ERG will be neutral; however, the
removal of annual depreciation charges of approximately $7 million will have a positive
impact moving forward.
The transaction leaves the Group with substantial cash reserves.

The only thing I'm upset over at 1 dollar for ERG on the 26th of September--that 1 I don't have any extra money to buy any--and 2--shortage of scrip--90% of the new shares on issue are held by institutions.--BK.

S&P 500 1,003.27 ERG rose the S&P500 fell the night before Oz markets opened- 1,003.27 (Motorla incidentally is doing really well--I have followed it since 8.31--it was underperforming when I first started--just like ERG--todays dog is tomorrows star.
The stochastic--not an indicator of trend---but an indicator of oversold or overbought--is currently oversold. I'm mildy bullish the American economy and belive in an upwardly progressing S&P--with normal retreats along the way---the 1000 level to me has been broken--we shall see tonight how it fares--I think it will hold--perhaps 993 or 998 (thereabouts--at worst) in my view.---BK.

Hi muscle bunny, I'm deliberately grammatically incorrect---re unshorting--I went on a learning curve (I still am) with shorting to undertsand it--for as you know over the last couple of years in particular it has been a real feature of Oz and overseas markets. I have been hurt very badly by the practice by not fully understanding it--so for what it is worth---for the odd person who may come accross the odd thing I write--I just use plain simple straight forward language--for I believe in safety in the market as well as gain--my belief system is the stockmarket should be a win win situation for everybody (I know that is not always the case)--thats what I believe though.---Short covering being the correct term--each day I record shorts on all that are on the daily sheet that comes out---in many company's cases--they are still getting shoreted/covered--even though they aren't on the list--I don't think it is fair to all market participants--but then that is reality--and I deal with reality.
Regards,--BK.
