Na primeira parte as correções do inglês e na segunda a carta a resposta do parceiro do casamento nos USA. As tarefas eram divididas em pares ( em inglês ) e (ímpares em português)
Wedding in Brazil
A wedding is a very significant event in Brazil, where old traditions are still honored in contemporary wedding ceremonies. The wedding has two parts: civil and religious. The first one happens in registry office and it is the official wedding with all the rights and duties of the couple. In this ceremony, the couple (choices) chooses two couples as godparents (one of each one) that (testimony) witness the formal procedure. (Due to Brazil has a great influence of Catholic religion) Due to the great influence of the Catholic religion in Brazil, the majority of (religion ceremony) religious ceremonies happen in Catholic church. The religion ritual is longer than the civil (customs) ceremony. After the religion ceremony, there is a wedding celebration when people can eat, drink and dance.
The couple has to choose godparents (one or many couples) that (testify) witness the religious ceremony and give presents. The godparents should to give expensive presents like a freezer, or
stove. The other guests give presents for the new house, not personal gifts.
The ceremony in church starts with the bride (gets into) entering the church with her father.
Sometimes, there are maids of honor who are children. They get into the church before the bride. The groom (a)waits (or: The groom waits for) the bride at the altar with his parents and the bride’s mother too. Brazilian weddings have many familiar features, such as the superstition that it is bad luck for the groom to see the bride wearing her wedding dress before the ceremony. Almost all the brides wear white wedding dress, to represents her “purity”. The bride's ring is engraved with the groom's name and vice versa. Many photos and (film) (movies?) are taken during the wedding celebration. After that, the couple and their parents like to show these for relatives and friends.
Although the relationship between males and females are changing in all of the world and the marriage has many others shapes and styles, the wedding is still an important social event in the life of Brazilian people. Brazilians love going to wedding and they prepare for it. They buy new clothes and present to the new couple, go to coiffeur to give a good impression. Of course, people are more interested in the wedding party.
Sua sintaxe na frase seguinte é interesante. Imagino que é a influência do português. Mim pode fazer o favor de escrever esta frase em português?

Weddings in the U.S.
A wedding can be either civil or religious in the U.S. If it is civil, it is done at a courthouse and it is a short simple ceremony. If it is religious, it does not have to be done again through a civil process. The religious ceremony serves as the official civil ceremony as well - as long as it is performed by a minister/priest who is oficially ordaned in an oficially recognized religion (Protestant, Catholic, Buddhist, Moslem, etc.). There is little tradition and cermony associated with the civil ceremony. It just requires two witnesses.
Religious ceremonies can be anywhere from 20 minutes in a simple Protestant wedding to 1.5 hours in a Catholic high-mass wedding. Family and friends of the bride are seated on one side of the main aisle of the church and family and friends of the groom are seated on the other side of the main aisle. It is ours superstition that it is bad luck for the groom to see the bride at all before the wedding on the day of the wedding. The ceremony always starts with the bride entering from the back of the church being escorted by her father (if it is a first marriage for the bride) with the traditional song "Here Comes the Bride" being played on the church organ. The groom and his ushers are already waiting for the bride at the front of the church. (It is my opinion that this is symbolic of the fact that the groom will spend a good part of the rest of his life waiting for his wife :)).It is common for the bride to have 3 to 6 female friends and/or family members as bridesmaids with the groom having an equal number of friends who are called ushers (they actually act as ushers before the ceremony to help seat arriving guests). One usher is called the "Best Man" who holds the ring for the groom until the ring is called for during the ceremony. The Best Man is typically the grooms' best male friend (hopefully his best female friend is the bride). After the bride enters the church, she is followed by the bridesmaids and a flower girl - a young girl who has a basket of flower petals that she throws onto the floor along the main aisle.
The exact words and vows exchanged by the bride and groom vary widely with the individuals being married and the church that is conducting the service. Although rings are exchanged, it is not customary to have names engraved on the rings. In a first marriage, the bride wears white - a symbol of her virginity. Although in 2002 I would guess that the number of brides who are virgins is well under 50%. It is common for couples to live together before they get married.
After the ceremony the bride and groom walk back down the main aisle. They may greet the guests as they leave the church or the greeting may be reserved for the wedding reception that is held an hour or two after the ceremony. The wedding reception always has food and drink for the guests and music. As part of this reception, the bride and groom cut the wedding cake together and share pieces of the cake with the guests. Many brides save a piece of the wedding cake as a momento for many years. After eating and after cutting the cake, the bride and groom dance together while everyone watches for a few minutes, then they separate and pick others to dance with for a minute or so, separating again. Each time the current dancers select new partners until most people there are dancing by the end of the song. The song is chosen by the bride and groom.
It is customray for the parents of the bride to pay for all costs associated with the wedding. These costs can be extravegant - up to $20,000. I have two daughters not yet married. I am not looking forward to these expenses.
At the end of the wedding reception, the bride and groom must pass thru a group of guests who throw rice on them. They always drive away in their car which has "secretly" been covered with "Just Married" signs, painted with shaving cream, and may have tin cans tied together in a string behind the car, which make a lot of noise as they drive away.
I'll bet there is a lot of interesting English for you in this description. Feel free to ask about the meaning of any parts of my description.
