First when I came to your car I was simply wanting to take
a look at it.You are the one who came over and ask if there
was something wrong with the car.Had you not ask in the way
you did I would never have said a thing to you.Yes the car ILLEGAL this year and next year.If you will go to the rules link on the NMMA WEB PAGE and click on rules clairification
you will find that this rule has always been there but
in printing the 2004 book's it got left out.It is a rule and
is in full effect for the 2004 racing season.
Yes there were two rules proposal's sent in just to ensure
that it got put back in the book.
If you will remember I told you I simply wanted to look at the car and had no intension of DQ'ing you.
When I see somthing wrong with a car most people will tell you I will go and tell the driver to fix it.Once a car makes it to the impound area if it's wrong it's wrong for
what ever reason.Example if a car rolls over and they take the wing off and finish the race and are then found under weight they are DQ'ed.Same with Nurf bars. The car I DQ'ed
Sun.Nite had been observed by a lot of people and had I not DQ'ed it there would have been a bunch of people telling
me how wrong and blind I was.
Last,if you think I get pleasure out of having to DQ a driver during Tech then you certainly know nothing about
how I feel.
Thanks Joe Smiley
