Schuetzenman-

I have a reloading question and thought you may have an answer.

I'm working up some test loads for the AR starting with 23.5 grains of Varget and working up to max load on 1/2 grain increments. I'm using leftover PMC brass and notice as I approach the max load sometimes the Varget almost fills the case and other times does not. I tap it down to settle the load, but it goes no further.

The question is, Is it normal on smaller type casings like the .223 to see variations in case capacity?

The max Varget load is 27.5 grains compressed...I'm at 26.5 and the case is almost completely full...don't know how more will fit.

Just thought I'd ask here since the forum is TU right now.

Thanks,
308
