yeah, but the point i was trying to make was that the people who read this forum can actually do something about the smaller bands. let's be honest, no one here is going to have the resources to put on bad religion in hull, although given the opportunity i'm sure most would. as people have proven however, it's quite possible to stage the smaller bands, and it's only one or two steps up to stage smaller touring international bands. i know people already have plans for bands like stand and send more paramedics, i've been involved in putting on the fantastic steel rules die myself. quite a while ago mind. i just thing it would be great if people could get together even more and get bands like every time i die, against me, give up the ghost (possibly a bit big, but you never know), minus... loads of amazing bands playing tiny clubs up and down the country.

unfortunately the likes of dillinger 4 are probably out of reach of smaller, non profit type promoters, but hell, if you want to see them get out there, get in touch with them, get nigel on your case!

there's also not that much we can do about venues, we have to work with what we've got, although it can't do any harm bugging the owners of the welly to put on decent gigs. i know nigel says they're shite, and who am i to argue, but it can't do any harm!

i think you misinterpreted me when i said i don't give a fuck. i'm not going to go out of my way to help promote bands i don't like or respect, and i'm sure you feel the same. i'd far rather help a band i've never heard than one i hate.

people are always going to be divided. people have different tastes. this would be a very boring world otherwise!
