今日看小說, 作者的一句話令我了解到二次波斯灣戰爭的分別:
為何第一次波斯灣戰爭的閃電戰打得如此漂亮, 第二次卻如此失敗?

先看一看我讀到的句子

第一次波斯灣戰爭, 美軍打的是正義的旗幟, 要解救的是科威特的人民. 當時美軍的戰鬥意志高昂, 加上裝備上佔了優勢, 伊軍只有撤退的份.
十二年後, 美軍以征服者的身份'進入'伊拉克. 雖裝備上有更大的優勢, 但士兵也不全然支持戰事, 戰鬥意志不高. 反觀伊拉克人的反美情緒不斷上升, 美軍縱多, 也不夠伊國總人數多, 戰鬥意志也不夠伊拉克人高漲. 伊人對本國地理的認識也必然比美軍多, 因此如美軍真有機會獲勝, 也少不了血和性命的代價, 且代價還不會很低.

still, I am still believing a Us winning, but that will certainly be longer than what US can face. Back to what is so called 'what US can face', after integrated all sides view, the max. US can loss before it become a 'loser' in this war will be stated as below:
1.The length of the war is longer than 51 days, which US oil reserve can stay for. If US army is not able to defeat Iraq, economic effect will be seen.
2.The total death of US army is larger than about 2000, that would cause great anti-war feelings, and MR. Bush(Bushit) is nearly have no chance for his second term.
3.More than 400 oil bumpers are DESTROYED by Iraq. If this happen, oil export of Iraq after the war can never reach the pre-war level.And oil price will rise above US$35/barral for quit a long time. And US economy will be in great problem...
Any way, hope the war can end earlier.
