If, in fact, he survived the next 24 hours, let alone the next millenia. Narrowing his eyes with distaste, he answered with a discontented "Hmmm..." and let his response at that. So maybe the elder wasn't in the room now, but step one foot in the direction of the door and they would both be pounced, this much he knew.
