Hi Terrie,

I believe you would be able to attend nail classes here! If your state or country does not require a license, then usually you are allowed to attend any training classes or professional shows. (Usually some type of proof of working as a professional Nail Tech is all that is required, such as a business card, etc. Or CCA may accept your passport as "proof" of residency in a non-licensed or regulated country.

Call CCA as soon as you get into the USA at: 1-312-321-6809 , ask for Lynne Webber if she's available. She or anyone else in the office will be able to give you all the info you need. (IF you choose to call now, then leave off the first 1 on the #, and start with the country code for USA then 312-321-6809)

The class is on Monday, August 30th, from 1-4 pm, near O'Hare airport in Chicago. (There is also a class on "Reiki" that morning in the same place from 10 till noon that you may want to attend. The Gel Nail Class as well as the Reiki are free to CCA members, and $99 for non-members, which includes CCA membership. I'm not sure if there is an alternate policy for out of towners visiiting from out of the country, check with CCA on that detail as well.)

To view info about the classes go to http://www.isnow.com and click on the link to "The Nail and Skin Tutorial".

As far as the rest of your questions... I don't have time to answer right now, but will try to later. IN the meantime you can read my gel nails page within my website at http://members.delphi.com/gelnails/ , you ccan also try my gel nails only message bds at www.gelnails.com , and my original delphi message bds at http://forums.delphi.com/nailsplash/start/ and go to the Gel Nails conversation threads section for lots and lots of gel nail Q and A.
