Subject: Topcoats getting Sticky

What makes Acrylic top coats (over pink and whites w/ uv inhibiters) get sticky and tacky? I'm pretty sure PABA is one culprit but I have clients who swear they haven't been in contact with Paba or cleaning products like 409 etc, etc. This does not happen with all my p&w's. Also I have tried 4 different ones on the market. I didn't like permagloss, found it took me more time and it was not smooth and didn't care for the look (personal). Any ideas on what causes the sticky?? What on earth is this doing to our skin btw? Could it be something with aha's? AAGGGGHHH
