Mop, I never thought about havin to turn the pig end for end. I guess that settles the door size question. My upright is going to be at the opposite end of the firebox. I am going to add another firebox at this end too. That way I can just cook on the upright if I choose. What do you think of building a burn pit above the main firebox to burn down logs to coals. Ever seen this. Would it be worth the extra work. Ain`t never been to a cooking contest. Is my setup going to be too big for contests. What size cookers do the offset guys use.
