My son is 23 years old and we are in the last year at college in Arizona. Yes, it has been a struggle but we have been right there talking to everyone and supporting him with tutors or anything he needs to finish. He first went to a Jr. College. That helped him a lot to get his confidence. Then we transferred to a university. The only trouble going that route you lose the grade point average. He wants to be in health field and I know he will do wonderful. Each of these children have special talents. You need to help your child find that special talent. We went to a college specialist that gave my son a lot of tests to find what he was interested in. I did not care if it was a laborer or a Dr. What ever my son found an interest in then I would move heaven to make it happen. Look for Universities in your area to help take the tests for some guidance. Then look for Universities if that is what he wants that will have a program for learning disability students.
Good Luck.. Hope this helps a little.

PS Just so you know .. of the high school friends my son had. 2 have gone to college. One is a pilot in the Air force, one owns his own business and doing very well;, one is an artist selling paintings, one repairs cars. Not everyone is made to do to college.
