I have recently completed and passed the dyslexia course and have to say how much I have enjoyed it. I thought I knew quite a bit about dyslexia before but realised what i knew was infact very little, however I think I have put that right now. I work in a school and there are many children who have dyslexia in varying degrees. The school paid for the course which i was grateful for, but I'm very disappointed as I was hoping to be able to use the information I have learned with the children experiencing difficulties. But unfortunately the head teacher prefers to use a person that has never had any type of training at all and I mean any type, no one day course or teaching assistants course, nothing. She just gets her information form the Ed psychologist that comes in now and again.I hear this lady giving out wrong information and I feel very frustrated about this. Has this happened to anyone else?
