The most helpful advice I ever received was from a real estate test prep class instructor. It was an intense two day class to prepare for taking the Texas real estate exam.
She said the best way to study for a test is: 1) write notes, 2) then read over your notes and highlight them, 3) then read them again aloud, and just beofre the test read over the highlighted section aloud if possible. The purpose was to be using a variety of ways we learn. I assume that would include sight, sound, and touch. The variety brings it all together for a more complete learning process. I suffered from many years of frustration with ADD and Dyslexia. Ultimately around age 39 I have a breakdown with panic attacks. I always felt so overwhelmed with essays, letters, organizing anything, etc. Life is much better since I discovered my purpose in life and what type of job is best for me. I avoided any major with math requirements, majored in History, and had many jobs before becoming an Acivity Director in an Assisted Living Home for the elderly. This is my favorite job ever....NO PAPERWORK to speak of. My hope for you is to do what you love and what utilizes your natural strenghts.
All the best to you-
