I have 9 year old twins (Boy & Girl)with dyslexia, and they are approching the State assessment test. They recently took the practice test and did not do very well. One (the boy) scored a 44 on reading & 55 on math and the other (girl)scored a 46 on reading & 58 on math. I am very concerned that they will not pass the test that will be taken in the spring. My son says things like; I read slow and I will have to repeat the 3rd grade if I don't pass the TASK test. My daughter seems to be doing alot better than my son, and she is not worried, about the test as much.
I was reading Dot's Diary and I came across a section where she stated that there was a computer program that read the state assessment test out loud (through headphones) the test was taken on-line. I would like to know what type of program this was and where I can get more information. If anyone can help I would appreciate it. Thanks A concerned mother.
