"NO!" Sarah yelled as she dove infront of Ryu, taking the blow for him. Sarah hadn't even thought about doing it, it just seemed to be instinct. She cried out in pain as she flew through the air after being hit, landing hard a short distance away. Sarah lay there for a while, wondering whether she was dead or alive. Only when the sickening sweet smell of burning human flesh, and the fumes of seared Nomex wafted across her nostrils did she decide that the latter was the more probable answer. Sarah tried to push herself up, but found the maneuver all but impossible as she cried out in pain and collapsed. She lifted her head and looked at the damage. It wasn't pretty, to say the least. The entire left side of her torso was horribly burned, as well as her entire left arm. The sight of her own cooked, charred, and smoking flesh brought a wave of nausia(sp?) over her. "...oh, god..." she muttered weakly. Her head went back down, but the embrace of unconciousness didn't welcome her. Instead Sarah closed her eyes and hoped this was all a bad dream. Somewhere, through her shock-traumatized mind, Sarah heard the all-too-familiar sound of gunfire. Strangly, this made Sarah smile. At least she wasn't the only bloody fool around these parts.
