A badger and a squirrel were whispering during the night.
Ashlyn spoke. "I dare you, Chess Conna. I dare you to take me in your father's boat out to haunted Isle tomorrow night-at the time of the full moon." "Sure, Ashlyn," the badger replied. Ashlyn was taken aback at his readiness, adn decided to really make it a dare--one that would test his courage as well as his skill. "Are you sure?" "Why wouldn't I be?" The squirrelamid's voice became low, soft, and slightly husky. "Legend says that Huanted Isle was home to a pirate base."
