Golden are the days of Summer,
When larks sing and graylings splash;
When fruit hangs heavy in the orchards;
When contentedness like a mist hovers.

Twisting branches decked out in russet and bronze,
Autumn leaves falling to the bare earth;
A sign, a whisper of the winds;
That a cold season is a-coming.

Trees, stark against the whiteness of snow;
Struggling to survive in the blanket of icy frost;
The winds howl their fury, loud and shrill:
How dare anything stand against the face of Winter?

Green are the plains of a newly awakened land;
Soft fall the rains of a gentle Spring.
The harsh season is over; new life begins;
Animals may come and go, but the seasons will go on.

Golden, russet, white and green;
These are the colours of seasons;
Like they always have been, always will be.
