Who is the hero?
The bold, handsome beast
Whose paw grips the sword
At the victory feast?

Who strikes the last blow
Vermin fall to the floor
Who wipes of his blade
And then asks for more?

With armor of silver
And a helm of gold
Swears that the vermin
Won't live to get old
Bloodlust in his eyes
And a terrible grin
Strikes home the blade
Is convinced he will win

Or the poor, humble creature
With a blunt, rusty blade
Peaceful born
But warrior made?

Who straps on no armor
Carries no sheild
Hesitates
Before the blade he weilds?

And yet, weild he does
And no fear he shows
Before he parries the thrust
Strikes the fatal blow
Not for himself
If so, he'd not strike
He's protecting the bold one
Saving his life

The true hero's not fancy
For others he's bold
Til his fur is all silver
And his heart is of gold

He shies from battle
Of death he's afraid
But he'll fight and he'll die
For one young gentle maid
