Martin the Warrior,
A warrior mouse - strong and true,
Who left his home of Redwall,
To look for the father he hardly knew.
Journeyed through thick and thin,
Met friends along the way,
Got a ship, lost a ship,
Never in one place stayed.
Came across a little cave,
Where an ancient mouse lived alone,
Told Martin where to learn 'bout his dad,
"In tall rocks made of stone".
They travelled to these rocks,
And Luke's courageous story started to unfold,
A countless great warrior, loving and bold.
How he got himself and ship,
Went to kill Vilu Daskar,
Who murdered his wife and others,
With the remaining, they sailed far.
They found the red ship Goreleech,
And were taken slaves abourd the ship,
Most of them were slain by searats,
You might have think that ended their trip!
But no, Luke lived on,
To slay one cruel creature,
Who was greedy and selfish
So they baited him with treasure.
Luke was tied to the wheel,
He steered into huge rocks of death,
And he killed Vilu Daskar the corsair,
With his last and final breath.
Hardly anyone was left,
To tell the sad and tragic tale,
How Vilu Daskar came to the northlands,
And how Luke and his buddies set sail.
Martin was filled with awe and grief,
Sorrow overcame this mouse, good and true.
For he never again saw Luke the Warrior
The father he never knew.
