Willswim Daylight of Pesky Pack.

Squirrel Adoni Alnson sat at the dinner table with his family. He was a young s with nice brown fur. Even though he was not very tall, he was very strong for his age. He was four, thus not full-grown yet. He liked to play with his older brother and sister, and his baby sister Nubby was always trying to play with them. She was a fat baby, had two huge, green eyes and extremely soft brown and reddish fur. Adoni looked at his food: corn bread, carrots, nuts, and acorns all wrapped in a big wheat tortilla.
“Yummy. My favorite, a squirrel super wrap! But not made with squirrels, but by squirrels. Mum, you’re a genius!” He said to his mother. She was a small, lady squirrel, not very good in the fields, which her husband and two sons attended to, mainly. But she was an excellent cook, she taught Ammerlyn, the oldest daughter, everything she knew about cooking. Ammerlyn was a very kind young squirrel; she was pretty, had big blue eyes and a very dark brown fur. “Now, now, I cooked the wraps by myself, and I heated up yours just like you like it, father. Adoni, mum was gone today. But it was mum who taught me, so give a paw for mum!” Ammerlyn exclaimed.
Everyone clapped, and Nubby hit her paws together awkwardly which made no noise at all. They lived in a small cottage, and had a farm growing vegetables. A famine was going through the land, but the Alnsons’ farm was doing quite well. There was a bang on the door.
“Okay, I’m coming!” Mrs. Alnson yelled kindly. She opened the door, only to see a terrible sight. A wildcat, with an eye patch over one eye, a snarl on his face and a very strong looking body walked in with a sword in hand. He was tall and strong, and growled at everyone, who sat frightened at the table. Nubby started to cry.
“Shut that fat, little thing up or I’ll gut your parents, straight away!” He yelled at Adoni. Adoni always had a way with Nubby, and he got her to stop almost instantly.
“Leave my house right now Firdonian the Wild! Or I’ll give you something you have never seen a squirrel mother do before!” Mrs. Alnson yelled furiously. Firdonian slapped her in the face and took all the food.
“Evandy, Bajee, Radolii! Get in here. And take the father and the two older children; leave the foolish mother and her young children here. But burn the cottage!” He ordered, laughing horrendously. A rat named Radolii, who was a small but scary rat with only one ear, took the older brother Maplin. Next, a bobcat named Evandy (Firdonian’s cousin) took Ammerlyn. He was similar to Firdonian, but no eye patch. He had a helmet with a skull on top, and was the second in command of Firdonian’s army of rats, bobcats, wildcats, foxes, and a few badgers. Bajee, the biggest of every vile creature in the army, crouched very low to get in the cottage. You could see his gigantic sword that was taller then any one else alive in his belt. And a mighty, thick, two ended axe strapped to his back. No one else alive could wield these massive weapons, but not only could he wield them, but throw them as well. He was extremely strong, but could not be a leader, due to him being dumb. He only knew the orders Firdonian barked at him: capture, burn, pillage, whip, torture and kill. His talking could use a little help, too.
He put Mr. Alnson on his shoulder and walked out the door, leaving everyone in shock. The army left, but burned the cottage. Flames flew upward as Adoni, Nubby, and Mrs. Alnson were trying to get out, but had no luck. Finally Adoni opened a window and cleared the burning wood from their path.
“Here, take your father’s sword, it may do you good. Take Nubby with you. I can’t go through that window. Go!” Adoni’s sweet mother yelled. Adoni tried to hold back the tears as he complained,
“But mum, I need you. Please help me. Where do I go?”
“Try Bell Vine, I hear it’s wonderful. Now go!” Mrs. Alnson replied with tears flowing down her cheeks.
She gave Adoni the sword and bid them goodbye. Nubby and Adoni were both crying, and went through the window, leaving the burning cottage behind. But it fell to the ground in ashes when they were but a few yards away from it. With tears stinging his eyes, Adoni looked at his father’s sword, which was now his. It had a pure gold handle, but a comfortable fit. It had a silver steel blade that was forged by Adoni’s great, great grandfather, the greatest blacksmith to ever live. It was the only valuable thing they had, and their greatest treasure. Nubby was on Adoni’s shoulders crying. They were dying of thirst, and had to walk and walk for miles. Looking desperately for a cold stream, they walked away from their home, their happy life, and their family.
*****
One month later, Adoni and his sister were walking away from a stream they had just got a drink from. They had a bath in a stream two days earlier, and did not smell very good. But they did not care much, they just wanted to survive. Then they saw a sign, which read:
Welcome to Bell Vine Woods, founded by a squirrel named Rirrin Alnson. Peace and tranquility swarm this land. Have a pleasant stay here, and if you are moving here, we hope you like it. Enjoy Bell Vine Woods.
“Well, we’ve made it at last, thank goodness! You and I are going to love Bell Vine. I just know it! And the squirrel who made this sword founded these woods. It will be great!” Adoni encouraged. Nubby was still a baby, and her talking was not the best.
“We gon loov it here, Attany?” She asked.
Adoni chuckled, “Of course we will. Hey look, let’s go meet them!” He yelled. A while down in the woods taking a drink from a stream was a rabbit and a hare. They were cousins, and obviously brave warriors. The rabbit was short, but strong and his hind legs were an amazing sight. He could kick anyone down.
The hare was much taller, but did not have the strength like his cousin. But he made up for that with knife fighting skills and being a great archer. He had a bow and arrows strapped to his back and a knife in his belt. The rabbit had a sword in his belt and he used his legs for the rest of his fighting.
“Hi, we are new to the woods. My name is Adoni Alnson and this is my sister, Nubby.”
The two cousins laughed, “So you are an Alnson? Great to meetcha! I’m Revvy, Revvy the warrior rabbit they call me, so they do.”
“And I am Driscoll, Driscoll the Archer. We two land rovers are cousins, so we are. Consider us friends, and we’ll show you around. How ‘bout that, eh, eh?” The hare said.
“Wonderful!” Adoni exclaimed, “But, our parents are dead and we really can’t live on our own. So how about you two white furred rovers come with us? I can’t protect my baby sis’ on my own.”
The cousins burst out laughing, “Of course we’ll help ya friends. And I am truly sorry ‘bout your family. Look out!” An arrow whizzed over Revvy’s head as he spoke. Revvy took out his sword, and cautiously walked down the bank of the stream. Driscoll put an arrow to his bow string and got ready to fire. Adoni pulled out his marvelous sword. Five foxes ran out of their hiding places and all armed with swords they attacked the three brave fighters. An arrow from Driscoll took down one fox, and Revvy stabbed another. Revvy then jumped up and kicked a fox with his hind legs knocking him down, breathless.
Adoni swung his sword hard to the right slaying another. The last standing fox was about to stab Revvy from behind but suddenly was cut down by Driscoll’s knife. The fox that Revvy kicked was gasping for air.
“You’ll regret this, all of you! I’ll come back with Fi”- But he was knocked senseless by a beaver.
“I ‘ope ya warriors didn’t mind me knocking this crazy fox over here. I’m Brendal, and I want to dethrone the cat that calls himself king of Bell Vine. He doesn’t even have blood relations with the guy who founded this place.” The beaver said. He was a strong beaver, with a big hard tail. He pointed to a girl beaver that was holding a baby beaver.
“This is my wife Rudy and the cute little baby she is holding is our darlin’ daughter Luquo. And you warriors are?” Greetings were going all around, Adoni speaking for Nubby. Then Adoni remembered something:
“Who is this tyrant cat you speak of? And I have the true royal blood. My great, great grandfather made this sword and these woods.” He held out the sword, and everyone gasped.
“Well, true king of Bell Vine, why don’t you and your friends come eat dinner with us and we will make plans on what to do about the tyrant issue?” Rudy suggested. Everyone agreed with bellies rumbling hungrily.
*****
It was an excellent dinner, nuts, acorns, carrot balls, and apples mashed to make a salad dressing. It was poured over fresh lettuce, in a wooden bowl. The beavers had a garden and an orchard outside of their dam.
“Luquo, eat your salad. Well King Adoni, what do you think of your salad and my special fit-for-a-king salad dressing? My own recipe, I made it from scratch years ago. By the way, you don’t have to eat the bowl like us beavers.” Rudy chuckled.
“It’s wonderful. Would you stop calling me king? I’m not sure if I even want to be king. But if it will rid you of a tyrant, I guess I can. Now, who is this tyrant and how do we stop him?” Adoni asked.
“Well, a month ago he came here from some place out east. First thing he did was kill our king, a nice squirrel, probably your cousin or something. He called himself King Firdonian the Great.” Revvy explained.
“Firdonian?!” Adoni yelled, “That idiot! How do we stop him?” He asked, determined. Revvy smiled,
“Well, Driscoll and I, we’ll scout for some warriors to start. Who wants to come?” Only Adoni raised his hand.
“Done, tomorrow Driscoll, Revvy and I will scout for troops. Nubby you stay here.” Adoni planned.
“Hold right there, before we start fighting let’s have some fun. Sweetie, will you play the tune for the Beaver River Dance on your harmonica?” Rudy asked.
“Of course I will.” Brendal replied as he grabbed his harmonica.
Rudy instantly burst into a dance. She kicked her legs up and twirled like she had rehearsed this moment for her whole life. She whacked her tail down forcing her to hop high. She kicked up in the air, landed on the table and spun around five times then jumped again in a perfect flip then landed softly on the ground. Roars of applause followed this incredible stunt.
“You guys think that was good, come on Revvy lets show ‘em. Play the tune to Riding Rabbit Hare Hoedown!” Revvy grabbed the harmonica and started playing on a fast pace. Driscoll leapt, kicked, spun and flipped masterfully. He then was too close to the door when he hopped back. He hit the door open and went out of the dam and into the shallow stream. Thunderous laughter followed,
“Hahahahahahahahahaha! Definitely a hare hoedown!”
“More like a hare fall down if you ask me! Hahahahahaha!” Revvy stopped playing, and Driscoll’s wet body got up. He stood there, wet and undignified, after a failing attempt to dance.
*****
The next morning Rudy packed food for all of the three brave travelers. All of which had enough for one person for four days. They said their goodbyes and walked off. At around lunch time they saw a large group of hares, twenty to be exact. All armed, well trained, and strong. When all the hares saw Driscoll they bowed and all yelled, “Driscoll the Great, we are ready to fight to the death!” Driscoll chuckled,
“No need to follow me anymore, he is your master now.” He pointed at Adoni, “He is an Alnson and true king of Bell Vine Woods. I give you King Adoni Alnson!” Adoni stood up.
“If we are to overthrow Firdonian we must have strong brave warriors ready to fight to the death if needed. Will you join us?” He yelled. Every hare ran to the side of their new leader. Revvy knew the danger of treason against Firdonian but felt confident in Adoni.
*****
In the great Bell Vine castle Firdonian the Wild sat on the throne, his crown on his head. In his throne room was his three officers Bajee, Evandy, and Radolii stood in front of their evil leader. Soldiers swarmed the castle, it was a big army. No army ever could match the strength of Firdonian’s evil army. Some guards brought in a squirrel, a mouse, and an otter. They were all slaves of Firdonian, and attempted to run away this morning.
“Guards, good job bringing back the fugitives, you may go.” The guards left the room. “Now, you three ran off today, and you must be punished. Radolii, get some of your rats and hang these three. Whip them as they are hanged, they must teach a lesson to all my other slaves that plan on escaping. Bajee, you whip them two. Go now, leave me.” Firdonian said menacingly. An old wildcat named Suropin who spoke Firdonian’s laws, also called out his long list of names.
“Conqueror of all Conquerors, Destroyer of all Destroyers, King of All the Lands, Emperor of the Woods, Firdonian the Wild, Firdonian the Menace, these are his names, beware of King Firdonian the Great!”
*****
Bajee and Radolii walked along the castle courtyard, with many rats behind them. They finally reached the platform where they hung traitors and runaway slaves.
“Alright, hang the slaves.” Radolii demanded. The slaves were gasping for air.
“Whip them!” Bajee yelled. And the slaves who were being hung grunted with pain, and gasped for a breather. Bang! A rock hit Radolii in the back of his gray head.
“Hey, you slave, get over here!” He yelled at the slave who hurled the rock at him. He swung his sword at the culprit but missed. The young otter skipped to the side and threw another rock, hitting Radolii in the hip. They otter kicked him and sidestepped again. When Radolii got up his sword was buried in the ground and he couldn’t get it out of the dirt. The otter kneed him in the face. It was a boxing match now. The otter ducked from a punch then kicked Radolii in the knees. Radolii couldn’t land a punch on the quick otter. Finally more rats helped, but no one could touch the otter. Even when someone would wave a long sword at him they would miss badly. The otter kicked at Radolii’s surprised face as he yelled the war cry otters yell in Bell Vine,
“For Rakkle! For Rakkle! For Rakkle! For Rakkle!” All the rats were amazed at the young otter’s courage. Instantly, a wave of arrows shot out of nowhere, all of them hitting the rats. Radolii was not hit though. The brave young otter and his otter friends all escaped. The four otter slaves escaped. They were reunited with their families. King Rakkle of the River Otters in Bell Vine was glad to have his four young warriors back. Rakkle was a strong otter, brown fir, he is known as the greatest otter archer to live. He also is great swordsman. The young otter that fought the rats is Rindle, Prince of the River Otters in Bell Vine. He is a sturdy young otter, brave boxing otter and swordsman. Dido, his mother, Queen of the River Otters in Bell Vine, is the greatest cook in Bell Vine. And she is also a great archer. The River Otters were happy again, but this was not nearly as big of a surprise as what they will get…

Adoni and his army of hares marched through the woods, get rather hungry. He looked at Revvy,
“Revvy, when do we stop?” Revvy smiled,
“When we reach Arstol the Eagle. He is the fiercest bird you ever will meet. He could rip an owl with his talons.”
Adoni chuckled,
“Let’s just hope he’s on our side.” Kra! Kra! Kra! Three owls popped right in front of the party.
“You have entered Queen Rana’s domain!”
End of Chapter One

Ronnk Peril walked with his group of foxes, bobcats, and wildcats through the castle courtyard. He was a shaggy fox. His fir stuck out, he was blind in one eye and deaf in one ear. He was the oldest of all soldiers and officers in Firdonian’s army. Ronnk had been in countless battles and suffered countless wounds.
“Firdonian sent us to find those otters who escaped. Capture the young ones and kill the older ones.” Ronnk yelled to his squad. His grandson, Venston, was a young but courageous fighting fox. They marched through the woods until they found a river. An arrow whizzed out of the water and hit a bobcat. The evil squad now knew where the otters were, and pounced on the opportunity. Little did they know the otters’ real plan. Rindle, Prince of the River Otters, jumped out of the water with three friends and fired arrows. They did this as Rakkle, King of the River Otters, ambushed the squad from behind, with Dido fighting alongside her husband and son. Dido was a fearsome warrior. The ambush was successful, but Rakkle fought Ronnk alongside the bank. Two old warriors, who have fought many times before, battled it out on the bank. Rakkle struck Ronnk’s shield. Ronnk fell, but caught himself then lunged at Rakkle. The otter king gave Ronnk a blow to the head, causing him to go unconscious. The otters thought Ronnk was dead, so they left. Ronnk was the last one alive in his squad. His grandson slain by Rindle, and the rest by their brave army of otters, Ronnk believed it would be his last breath. Oh, how wrong he was.
*****
The three figures showed themselves to the Adoni’s army. They were all owls, and fierce by the look of them.
“I am Omas, the Owl General; this is Ormo, the Owl Lieutenant, and the fat one here is Ticker, the Owl Captain. Why have trespassed on Rana’s land?” The one in the middle said. Adoni tried to look firm, and a surge of courage went through him.
“I am Adoni Alnson! Great grandson of Rirrin Alnson, and I am rightfully king of Bell Vine, and if you do not step aside, we will make you!” Omas sighed,
“Very well, troops soar!” Omas yelled. Hundreds of owls flew across the sky. Their bright yellow eyes like stars in the night. Then they swooped down, and a battle was on. Omas grabbed the sword from Adoni’s paws and took off. Revvy grabbed hold of Omas’ claw as he soared off. Revvy and the marvelous sword were gone. Adoni was helpless now, he had no weapon and wasn’t very strong. Ticker was running at him, but he was swooped up by something. Owls were falling slain, but by who? The owls retreated to their base cowardly.
“Hello, I am Arstol, are you in need of assistance King Adoni?” An eagle said. He was a big eagle, long, marvelous wings. He had dark green wings and a long curved beak. His figure was much bigger then his soldiers. His soldiers were big but not as big, they were about the same size as the owls.
“We could use the help, and I’m not king yet. I’m not doing this for being king, but getting rid of Firdonian. Can you help me get Revvy and my sword back?” Adoni pleaded.
“I’ll do anything to make Rana mad!” Arstol yelled.
“Who is Rana?” Adoni asked.
“Thee biggest bird in Bell Vine, she calls herself Queen of the Sky. She is Queen of the Owls, and I don’t serve under her! That pompous egg snatching owl took my wife’s egg chicks! I’ll kill all the owls in Bell Vine just to get them back. Here, grab on to me.”
Ronnk stood in front of Firdonian, afraid of the punishment. “You failed. You failed at getting young otters back! You fool; your rank of officer is up in the air now. If you don’t complete the missions I assign to you I’ll have your head as a decoration! Leave me, idiot.” Ronnk swallowed hard.
“What are you still doing here? Leave!” Firdonian yelled wildly.
“Yes sir! I mean your majesty.” Ronnk replied as he ran out the door. Suropin sighed,
“Shame, really. He was one of the finer officers. I think he is too old. He is almost as old as I am. May I give my opinion?”
“Speak.” Suropin gave a sigh of relief.
“Make him an advisor like me. He is very intelligent in the ways of war.” Firdonian pondered a bit. He knew that Suropin was brilliant.
“Very well, guards, bring in Ronnk!” Ronnk walked in and bowed.
“What is it you wish of me, your majesty?” Ronnk asked, fearing punishment. Firdonian yelled,
“Your rank of officer has been taken from you! But, you will now be my advisor along side Suropin. Take a seat, Ronnk.” Ronnk was happier then ever.
“Thank you your majesty! You won’t regret this!”
*****
Adoni and Arstol soared through the air. Adoni had never felt anything like it. He had never clung to a bird’s back as the bird flew, it was an amazing feeling. They flew to a tree and found it swarmed by owls. But Arstol knocked them around like bowling pins, ten at a time. After they attacked the owls, they searched for Adoni’s sword. After a while, Adoni decided it wasn’t there. “It’s not here, I looked everywhere.”
Arstol knocked him flat. “Shhhhhh! It is here. There’s Tinker, the fat and stupid owl captain, guarding it. Let’s go, I’ll dive into him and you jump down from here as I fight him off.”
Arstol demanded as he pointed to a lower branch. Then he swooped down and begun attacking Tinker. The owl was completely surprised. He flew off a bit then made a dive at Arstol. Arstol was sprawled out by Tinker’s extreme weight. Adoni leapt off the branch. He picked up the sword then swung it at Tinker, who was laying on Arstol. Tinker turned around just in time though. He kicked the brave squirrel off the tree. But Adoni was smart, he grabbed on to a vine hanging from the treetop. He soared through the air, then came back and hit the trunk causing him to let go of the vine and his sword. He fell on the mulch around the tree, and then picked up his sword. Two owls jumped on him. Adoni quickly cut down the first one, but the second owl was good. They battled it out, talon on sword. The owl banged his beak on Adoni’s head. Adoni swiftly regained his balance. He swung his sword at his enemy’s beak. The owl screeched in agony. He fell unconscious, much to Adoni’s surprise. Adoni felt happy, but remembered Arstol. He looked up to find Arstol flying towards him. “I gave Tinker something to remember me by. Let’s go, hold on to me!”
The two warriors went flying up in the air. They went back to where they left their troops. Eagles and hares awaited further orders from their king. Driscoll ran to Adoni, bellowing. “Please, Revvy is gone! We must rescue him!”
A voice came from above.
“Hiya, fine chaps, do you mind getting me out of this tree? It is rather lonely up here. I ‘ope you can, cause I’m getting rather starved.”
They looked up to see Revvy caught in a tree.
“Ha! Were coming, you great buffoon!” Adoni yelled.
*****
The two advisors were eating dinner together. Suropin wanted them to eat away from Firdonian. Ronnk was completely confused; he wanted to know why Suropin pleaded to eat away from the king. “So, why did you have us eat all the way in the south inner courtyards?”
Suropin leaned closer, “Are you tired of Firdonian bossing us around?” Ronnk nodded. “There are strategies. Why does he get praised? And is allowed to eat all of the best food? You and I can kill him, and then we will be kings of the woods, how about that, Ronnk?”
Ronnk nodded,
“M’kay, what is the plan?”
*****
Rindle swam in a river outside of the castle. The young otter was unaware of the danger. But he knew his father Rakkle and the otter soldiers were not far off. A spear hit the water right next to him. Evandy and some other vile troops came out of the woods. But instantly, a wave of arrows came out of the trees. Rakkle and his army of brave otters came out. The swordsman charged and the archers fired. Rindle took his little knife out of his pocket. It had a wooded handle, but a razor sharp blade. It was for a young otter male. He threw with expertise at a fox, slaying him instantly. Rindle ran at the slain fox and got his knife. Firdonian’s army was being depleted. Arrows and swords were cutting them down. There were not a lot of otter casualties, though. Rakkle put an arrow to his string and fired. It hit a rat walking right past Evandy. It would have hit Evandy between the eyes had the rat not been there. “Lucky bobcat! I’ll slay if you ever come in my sight again!”
Rakkle’s yell forced many of Evandy’s troops to flee. So Evandy called a retreat. Another otter victory, but would it be the last?
*****
Adoni and his troops marched to Arstol’s cove. The trees were bending, making a lot of shade. There was a cool breeze on a hot summer day. The soldiers were weary from marching all day long, and after their battle with the owls, they were glad to have a rest. The hares were making vegetable stew, and the eagles were making worm rolls and a side of salad. The eagles added nuts to their salad so Adoni could eat it, if there were no worms, and the hares added nuts to Adoni’s vegetable stew. Adoni enjoyed his stew and salad, but almost couldn’t eat while watching the eagle troops munch down warm worm rolls. Arstol walked over to the brave squirrel.
“Ah, nothing like a good ol’ warm worm roll. Try sayin’ that ten times fast, eh, eh?” Adoni and Arstol tried to say the name fast but usually failed on the fourth time.
“Warm worm roll, warm worm roll, warm worm roll, worm worm drool. Ah, bleh. Hahahahaha!” Adoni laughed as he failed once again. Driscoll, who knew
the hares very well, was trying to get two hares to sing.
“Come on, sing. Why waste your bootiful voices?” It was true the brother and sister pair had beautiful voices, but they were reluctant to sing. The older sister, who Driscoll had an obvious crush on, was named Hildy. She was Driscoll’s age, soft white fur, and big, beautiful blue eyes. She always put her floppy ears down and curled them back when she was embarrassed, which she was by Driscoll’s compliment. Hopkins was a sturdy male hare, although younger then Hildy, he was much taller. He had big blue eyes and a lot of muscles. After Driscoll flattered them they agreed to sing. Hildy was pondering what to sing,
“How about ‘Those Brave Warriors? I like that song.” She suggested. Everyone agreed and they went in to the song:
“Those brave warriors, marching along,
Marching, going to war singing their war song!
One, two, three, four,
Those brave warriors, brave from their heart core!
Fighting those nasty vile cats!
To the last death, no looking back!
They fight for Freedom and Harmony,
They won’t stop till they have Victory!
VICTORY! VICTORY! VICTORY!
V-I-T-C-O-R-Y!
We’re gonna win that’s not a lie!
Those brave warriors marching along,
Marching, going to war singing their war song!”
Everyone danced to the fast beat of Driscoll banging on a wooden table. Adoni sat watching his army dancing. He started to laugh at the sight of Driscoll doing a fast dance with Hildy on the table and many others practically waiting in line for her. Then a lot of white figures walked over to their little war gathering. The biggest one, obviously their leader, spoke. It sounded a bit like Revvy to.
“Ha, I see you are enjoying yourselves. I’m rather hungry, and I hear you are warriors. So how about we team up against that kitty cat buffoon who calls himself a king!”
End of Chapter 2
3
Ronnk and Suropin laughed mischievously. They had the perfect plan, they would enter the room, blame each other for the otters beating everyone, and then when Firdonian stands up, he gets shot by Droppel, the best archer in Firdonian’s evil army. They entered into the throne room and Ronnk yelled,
“Suropin, it is your fault!” He bowed to Firdonian then yelled out again. “You told them a sneak attack would work! They got ambushed! You are an idiot, Suropin!” Suropin pretended to be angry.
“Me? You told them to go to the stream! I simply told them a sneak attack would work and you blew it by making them go to the stream!” Firdonian stood up, unaware of Droppel who was right behind him. “Silence!” Firdonian yelled madly. Droppel put a bow to his string, backed up and fired. But as he did Firdonian stepped down the stairs that led to the throne making the arrow to high over Firdonian’s head. Firdonian was no fool; he drew his blade and turned swiftly. He stabbed Droppel in the gut. Ronnk and Suropin were shooting off, afraid of what might happen.
“Guards, slay those two traitors!” Firdonian yelled as the two cowardly old advisors ran off. The guards soon grabbed the foxes and killed them both. Droppel lay on the ground, and said his last words.
“Beware of the woodland creatu”- Firdonian cut him off by stabbing him again.
*****
A rabbit and many rabbit troops were standing hungrily watching Adoni.
“Sure! Have a bite to eat, you warriors!” Adoni yelled and the rabbits were off, grabbing all the stew and salad they could eat.
“I’m Riggos, and we heard a rumor that an Alnson was back. We also heard that he was trying to get rid of Firdonian. So, instinctively, we put down our vegetable fields and came running. Revvy here is my brother’s best friend. But Firdonian captured my brother and the rest of my family. So, let’s get rolling!”
Everybody was hyped up and confident. Adoni gave orders to break camp and move out. It was all falling into place, the hares, the eagles, and the rabbits.
*****
Ronnk Peril and Suropin Deadeye’s carcass was thrown into a river, and Droppel’s was burnt. Firdonian felt a new sense of leadership, one he had not felt before. Traitors were stopped, and the mouse, squirrel, and otter were finally executed. He had hired Suropin’s grandson to be officer in Ronnk’s stead. And now that he had no advisor, he was in total control. The fox Lonn Deadeye walked in. He was a red fox, he had frightening yellow eyes, and he was very tall. His skills with a sword were limitless, and no one but Firdonian and Evandy could throw a knife like him. He was the most ruthless, and the smartest of the officers. He bowed.
“Your majesty, I am sorry for my grandfather’s stupidity. But I am happy the traitor was caught. Why did you call for me, O Deadly One?” Firdonian smiled, he like this young fox.
“I want your group to capture six woodlanders to add to my slaves. As you know, the otters escaped, and three have been executed, so make up for them. Go!” The wildcat demanded.
“Yes, your Greatness!” the fox called as he bowed once more and fled the throne room.
*****
Lonn Deadeye and his troops spotted a small cottage. Lonn used his great strength to knock over the door. A family of mice was eating when they were rudely interrupted. They grabbed the four children and walked out, leaving the parents sobbing. Lonn only took the children because they would last longer. He laughed as the little mice were being whipped and tied up, the fox than spotted three hares. They took the three young hares and went back to the castle.
“Seven is better than six, you know.” Lonn told his soldiers as they marched back.
*****
Ammerlyn and Maplin sobbed at their father’s bedside in the slave house. He just passed away. Maplin had red fur, was tall, very strong, and had big, blue eyes.
Alright sis, only you and me are alive now. So we have to be strong, show Firdonian we weren’t intimidated. He wants us to be scared, and do all the work, but we have to run some time. We have too!” Ammerlyn could only nod; she could not speak through all the tears. A tall rat walked in. She was the main slaver in Firdonian’s army. She was gray and white, a lot like Radolii. They were siblings, although they hated each other. The rat was a cruel one, unmerciful, and vile. Maplin stared at her, wanting revenge for his father, which she had practically killed.
“Don’t look at me like that, stupid squirrel!” She yelled as she whipped Maplin. “It is not my fault you were captured, and that your stupid father tried to kill me. I killed him with no hesitation; do not think I’ll have mercy on either of you!” Maplin couldn’t contain himself; he ripped the wooden pole of the bedside and swung it. He ran at her yelling.
“This is for my father! Die Pring!” Pring leaped to her left and then kicked Maplin in the face. She took out her sword.
“Stupid squirrel.” But before she could strike Ammerlyn kicked her in the shin.
“Aghh! Stupid squirrels, I’ll be back with some troops and we’ll put you in the torture cell.”

Lonn Deadeye and seven prisoners walked into the throne room. Firdonian was eating.
“Mmmm. Good food. So, Lonn, you brought back seven? Great job, maybe you are smarter then your dead Grandfather.” Lonn left the new servants and bowed. He left the room, knowing he had pleased King Firdonian. Firdonian was very smart in the ways of war; he knew that he would have to send his best to get the otters. There was no doubt in his mind that Lonn and Bajee would be perfect. Radolii let them go and Evandy lost a battle although he had the advantage in numbers. He knew now, Lonn would be the Second in Command and Bajee third. Evandy and Radolii would be the third and fourth, but would not control much.
The new appointed Commander and Admiral walked through the woods with their troops. Lonn liked to take a big force, so he took half of the soldiers, leaving Firdonian half. Bajee liked his new leader; Lonn was a lot like Firdonian, but not as skilled with weapons.
“Commander Deadeye, sir, the otters are just up ahead.” Bajee said to Lonn with a scowl. His eyes flickered and a merciless grin was on his face.
“Good. Wrap around those trees to our left, and when I say charge, you charge.” The orders were followed without hesitation. “
“Charge!” The fox yelled and they were off. The otters turned to find themselves surrounded but would not give up. Bajee stared at the otter general Milo. He was Rindle’s uncle. Bajee wielded his colossal axe and ran at Milo. A battle was on. Whenever Bajee would swing it would wound Milo due to the badger’s amazing strength. Finally Bajee knocked him flat, and the otter swordsman was gasping for air. But Firdonian taught his officers no mercy, and that order was carried out. Bajee murdered the kind otter general.
Lonn and Rakkle were battling it out. They were both skilled swordsman, so it was evenly matched. Rakkle knocked the red fox down, and it looked like Lonn was dead. He lost his sword, but had a surprise for the otter. Rakkle bent down, about to slay his enemy, when Lonn took out his knife and put it right through the otter. Rakkle was dead.
Rindle was having difficulty, but when he saw his father go down after Milo, he ordered a retreat. Rindle was the new King of All River Otters.

Adoni and his troops were marching near a stream, they were tired from marching all day. The hares and rabbits were washing their paws and the eagles were sharpening their talons and beaks. Revvy walked to the young and courageous squirrel, looking worried.
“Adoni, Driscoll and I spotted some of Firdonian’s troops about four miles upstream. A lot of ‘em, around one thousand!” Adoni gasped at the thought of his one hundred fighting Firdonian’s one thousand.
“Call the troops, I have a plan!”
Adoni stood in front of his troops, showing no sign of fear or worry.
“It has come to my attention that around one thousand of the tyrant’s vile soldiers are not far upstream. But do not worry! Revvy, you and Driscoll take a few soldiers and scout for any able warriors! Riggos, you take some rabbits and build as many rafts as you can. They don’t have to be to big, just make sure you can hold some archers. I will take the remaining bunch and build barricades. Okay, disperse!” Adoni looked far, it was the ocean. He knew exactly what to do.
Adoni looked at the well made boats. He took many rabbits and hares and got aboard the vessels. He then ordered them to steer it out of the stream and flow to the sea. When they got out along the coast the seven boats stopped. Five ships, wonderfully made, were sailing along the coastline.
“Get ready! This might be Firdonian!” Adoni yelled. It wasn’t. An army of archer squirrels, all experienced soldiers and sailors were sailing towards them. Riggos walked to Adoni.
“King, that squirrel leader was my lieutenant. You see, we warriors of Bell Vine all started out as soldiers in your cousin Grick’s grand army. Ah, what an army we were. Squirrels, otters, rabbits, hares, even eagles too. Brickle, ha-ha, he was an evil bear. He tried to kill us all. He got to the otters, and they left the army. Eventually, we won the war. Then Firdonian came along. He split the army up. We were all scattered, and now he rules as King of Bell Vine. You coming here might bring us back together.” Riggos turned his attention to the squirrels.
“Somplin, you old sailor! How are you? Now, we need to use your boats and your men. Paws to the ready, friends. It is time for the new and true King of Bell Vine to reign over this land!” Somplin was red furred squirrel, tall, muscular, and courageous. He was a crazed madman on the battlefields but a calm and sweet charmer off.
Eventually all the soldiers were aboard the nine vessels. Many more hares and rabbits joined, as well as the squirrels. Adoni ordered that half the army go up the mouth of the stream and sail along there, as the rest take the five squirrel’s vessels and go along the coastline.
A few hours later, Adoni was keeping a close eye on Lonn and his army. Lonn had spotted Driscoll and Revvy on the stream commanding the other soldiers, and was advancing. Somplin walked up to Adoni, puffing with pride. He introduced Adoni to his son.
“Well, mister kingo sir. This is my son Zagg, the best archer in Bell Vine! With the exception of Driscoll, though. Experience counts, you know!” Zagg was a very small reddish squirrel. He was small, but his skills with a bow and his keen eye mad him a deadly shot. Zagg walked back to his post, commanding the archers. A few miles on shore, a battle was beginning.
Driscoll was firing arrows at Lonn and his troops. Arrows were firing back and forth. Revvy and some swordsmen charged off and attacked the vile animals. He swung his sword hard at a rat archer, and then the rabbit kicked at a fox that was behind one of Revvy’s friends, saving his life.
Zagg and the rest were firing without remorse, yelling threats as they did so. Driscoll and Zagg were obviously the most skilled archers of the group, and the hare was no exception. Drawing the line back, he closed one eye and aimed. Firing from off the boat, the arrow whizzed at the large badger. It struck Bajee in his chest plate, and the badger winced in pain. His eyes lit up, and he was furious. Ripping the arrow from out of the armor, he spun his axe with expertise. The badger ran to Revvy, fuming. The tall rabbit backed up, and waved his sword. Lonn was back commanding the troops, but Bajee was going just about insane. He sharply whipped the axe through the air, and it struck Revvy hard. The rabbit went down, completely hurt.
