Subject: Poems Author: Ara Treesong [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] Date Posted: 17:56:28 06/22/06 Thu Here are two poems I've written: Seasons Spring bright, new blooming, growing, sprouting, living leaves, growth, trees, seasons falling, leaving, ageing, dying old, gone Fall Memories When I hear the distant jingle of wind chimes I see Fourth of July fireworks exploding in the sky I taste hot dogs and crisp Coca Cola I smell the stinging scent of firework smoke I feel excitement in the air When I taste shrimp I see waves crashing to the beach I hear the far of hum of motor boats I smell the salt of the ocean I feel anxious to go swimming When I see piles of snow outside my bedroom window I hear my neighbors shoveling off their driveway I taste hot chocolate and marshmallows I smell cedar wood burning in the fireplace I feel a chilly wind encouraging me to shiver When I smell my grandmother’s homemade pancakes I see my cousins playing tag on the front lawn I hear the insistent trickle of water rushing through the creek I taste delicious homegrown tomatoes with pepper I feel the quietness of the country [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ]
