The Hare Called Trite

There once was a hare called Trite,
Who could never a poem well write,
So he put down his quill,
And took a sugar pill,
And ended up awake at night.

Bed-Ridden Ed

I once met an otter named Ed,
He refused to get out of bed,
So Ma Mellus came,
And refused to be tame,
Out of bed did scramble Ed.

Squirrel or Mole

I once saw a black squirrel diggin',
I thought he'd do better climbing riggin',
But he popped his head out,
And I saw his big snout,
He was but a mole called Miggin.
