Summertime

The sun is bright
It feels so right
Not too hot
Not too cold
It helps the weak
It aids the old
Young ones running
Through the meadows
Always moving
Never stopping
Going on forever
Through the fields of plenty
Where grass and crops
Are born and reaped
Where thirsting lips are licked
When withering bodies
Again are strong
When you know nothing is wrong
Summertime brings out the best
In all of us tonight
