Name: Malian
Dorm: BB
Malian runs furiously toward the Great Hall, worried that she'd be late for the Abbot's Feast. In her desperation to get there, she trips over a protruding rock, and tumbles head over tail, to land at nobeast other than Aspen's feet. Aspen smirks at the dark fox, think about how that Malian was just a stupid fox, and why the smart creatures of Redwall would let in some vermin.
She says in a harsh, biting tone, "Sister Rose sent me to go find you, won't you ever be on time? Or is it your vermin heart that will always cause trouble?"
Malian's heart boils with anger, and bites her lips and clenches her paws to keep from attacking the squirrel. Why must she always be so, so, UGH!! She ignores her, and walks calmly toward the great hall, ignoring the unpleasant squirrel, and walks in. Blinking at the lack of light in the hall, she stands still and waits for her vision to become accustomed to it. She continues walking down into the Great Hall, and takes a seat on the far side of the table, hardly noticed by the chit chattering beasts of Redwall Abbey. She sits calmly, but can not help but to glare at Aspen. David, her mouse friend sits next to her.* Aspen again Mal? *Malian nods, and digs her claws into the oak seat, but instantly calms down as the Abbot enters the room. Abbot Llarius is a tall and stately otter, and being an abbot is strange for his kind. He takes his seat, and all the beasts fall silent as Friar Taffed, a hedgehog, enters, pushing a large cart. A plate is covered, but Malian’s tender nose picks up the scent. It is a salmon, with herbs, and baked to perfection in an oven. As the friar lifts the cover, the Abbot smiles, and takes a small fork in his paw. The friar cuts of a steaming piece of the fish, and lays it on a plate, with some herbs on the side. The Abbot takes a piece onto his fork, and places it in his mouth. An uncomfortable silance follows. Father Llarius’ eyes open, and he smiles.* My dear Friar Taff, this is one of the best meals I have ever tried. You have outdone yourself! Now, let all the beasts of the Abbey enjoy it, and the rest of this marvelous spread! *Malian begins piling food onto her plate, some woodland salad, hotroot soup, ‘unnymoles, Abbot Mortimer Cake, strawberry pastys, leek and onion flans, and deeper’n’ever pie. She looks around sadly, to see if anyone had created a food for a fox, but there is nothing. She takes her wooden fork, and smiles as the friar places a piece of salmon on her plate. *Now now my dear Malian. I’ve been working on a fox food, but I haven’t finished it yet. I’ll tell you as soon as I perfect it! *He continues on, and Malian feels warmer inside. She reaches for a flask of Strawberry fizz, and growls as Aspen puts her paw on it. She looks disdainfully at her, and draws her hand back.* Humph! The vermin has ruined it! I’ll just have to get a different drink! *Malian flames inside again, but doesn’t show it. She was getting a lot of practice at that. She pours it into her cup, and takes a sip. Oh to get away!*
