This is a poem of Martin and his love, Rose. 1st is M's view, than Rose's, than M's, than R's,etc.
I stood upon the wall,
Thinking myself to be dead,
Till I heard an eagle's call,
From the mouth of a beast.
I saw a mouse upon a post,
On the dreaded fort,
Going to become a host,
For an seagull's dinner.
When I got away,
With four other beasts,
In a boat on that day,
T'was punctured with a sword.
My brother was taken away,
With a squirrel I call friend,
By the water so gray,
While I traveled further.
We were captured later on,
By nasty little shrews,
Afraid of not a swan,
But a large gannet.
There Martin fought a bird,
And set the prince free,
And was given the queen's word,
That freedom was ours.
We traveled hard and far,
Met a group of performers,
That really, truly are,
A little crazy but good.
Then one day we returned,
After setting the slaves free,
Martin's heat burned,
For revenge upon a stoat.
When we fought I found success,
But much sadness too.
For Rose the mouse became less,
When Badrang threw her far.
I now am in the spirit,
The Dark Forest is my home,
For my head was hit,
And Feldoh is nearby.
I left soon after,
Weeping for my love,
Nowhere was there laughter,
After the death of Laterose.
My Martin went to Mossflower
To find a new home,
But a wildcat in power,
Is what he found instead.
I helped to build an abbey,
With even a big bell tower,
Soon there was a jubilee,
When it was finished.
Many years later,
He hung up the sword,
Gave up being a hater,
Never fought again.
Now I too am in one place,
With my beloved Laterose.
Never a disgrace,
Are the new warriors.
My Martin watches them,
The beasts of the Abbey,
Like a precious gem,
And I watch with him,
Happy as can be.
