I'm so glad to hear that you are going into Abel Tasman Park. I got out all my beautiful tiny shells that I collected on one of the shell beaches in the park, and remembered our visit there very fondly. Looking into Lynne's travelog, I see that we ventured into the Park on April 3rd - just a short time before you! We went into the Park from Nelson, and stopped at Kaiteriteri Beach. We stayed one night at the Torrent Bay Forestry Hut. I hope it is still as unspoiled and beautiful as it was. Also, I hope you managed to get rid of your sore throat, Sarah.

Today,Grandma and Erin had the wonderful brunch, won by Naomi in the very rigourous thumbwars competition! Grandpa, Dad and I, and Karen and Tom also went along. Wonderful food! Liam was very good. He has a great new game he likes to play. (Maybe he has Maori heritage?) He loves to stick his tongue out, and roll it around, and he especially enjoys it if you do the same in response! He doesn't look fierce, though - actually, he smiles and thinks it is quite a wonderful game!

Now it's Sunday night - another Monday with work tomorrow. You guys are very lucky!!!

Bye for now,

love,

Mom
