Hi Grams and Gramps!

I'm so glad the birthday lunch went well, sounds like everybody had a great time! Wish I could have been there :) Mom said that Liam was playing a new "tongue sticking out game"... he's so smart!

One interesting thing about hiking in New Zealand is that they have no natural mammals. This is really interesting because camping at home we have to be constantly weary of bears and other baddies. In NZ if we hear a twig break in the forest it's pretty much just guaranteed to be a bird, or possibly a possum (who are not native, but were introduced and have now kind of taken over the country). Not even any squirrils to see! It's really a very safe country though... no bears, and not a while lot of poisonous snakes or anything else to be afraid of.

I am SO glad to hear that Auntie Gwen is doing well, we have been thinking about her lots. Please send her our love and hugs!!

Sounds like you're going to get some good leg workouts with the new bike grandpa, good for you!!

Love and hugs!

Nomi
