I just saw Carnie on the Wendy Williams Show and WP was brought up towards the end of the interview.

She mentioned the 20th anniversary of the first album and that there will be a new one out around that time, but it's not decided if it'll be originals, a Christmas album or a cover album of 60s girl group songs.

I really hope it's an "original material" album. I really don't want to hear another cover album so soon after California; however, I do want to hear a Christmas album from them but if it's going to be a choice between that or originals, it's originals hands down.

Also, she'll have another book out about her drug and alcohol addiction (release date unknown) and there'll be a second season of the Newlywed Game.

Good for her for getting a second season of the Newlywed show; Congrats Carnie!

As for the CD, I hope it is original material. They have not released a new song (as Wilson Phillips) in 18 years (right?). I hope they reconsider this idea of covering old songs. It would be nice to have a new CD with new material and a re-release of a Greatest Hits album with new versions of the old songs plus new live versions of their hits. In addition, they ought to also release a DVD with live performances, interviews, and the collection of all their music videos (as WP and as individuals). Now that would be a way to celebrate 20 years in the business (well, at least my way of celabrating their careers).
