] Date Posted: 19:18:17 06/23/07 Sat In reply to: Juli 's message, "When did you first discover Wilson Phillips?" on 01:07:17 06/23/07 Sat I first discovered them by hearing "Hold On" on the radio. I loved it the first time I heard it. So I went and bought the cassette single. I loved the B side also which was Over and Over (I think). So then I bought the album and simply loved every song. I've been a fan ever since and Wendy has always been my favorite. [ Next Thread | Previous Thread | Next Message | Previous Message ] |

I first heard of WP on the radio with "Hold On." I loved the song and remember seeing the video on MTV and loving the boardwalk "strut" they did to the chorus and thought it was so cool. I loved the next 2 singles as well and especially when Wendy took the lead for "Impulsive" because I orignally thought that Chynna was the designated lead singer of the group and it would always be that way, even though "Release Me" was 3 part. I got the album cassette for Christmas that year and played it non-stop. So much so that when I got punished or grounded my parents would actually take it away from me as punishment. I was 13 when the album debuted and have been a huge fan ever since and always will be. |
