It did have about the amount of "bleeps" I was expecting....and I got the giggles a few times. Overall, I thought it was pretty good and I have my DVR set for Thursdays at 7pm. I think its gonna be an interesting show! I could totally relate to the baby weight Carnie is talking about. I had my son 15 weeks ago and I busted my a$$ in the gym and in the kitchen to lose all 40 of him and 7 of the left over 10 from my daughter. Only a few more to go! |

It wasn't supposed to be released until Tuesday the 22nd but I guess they got it in early. $19.99, highly priced, but I still had to get it in fear it won't be available in Best Buy or Target. I have yet to listen to it but am pretty curious to hear the sounds of this new duo and especially considering the content of the lyrics. |

She mentioned the 20th anniversary of the first album and that there will be a new one out around that time, but it's not decided if it'll be originals, a Christmas album or a cover album of 60s girl group songs. I really hope it's an "original material" album. I really don't want to hear another cover album so soon after California; however, I do want to hear a Christmas album from them but if it's going to be a choice between that or originals, it's originals hands down. Also, she'll have another book out about her drug and alcohol addiction (release date unknown) and there'll be a second season of the Newlywed Game. |

I used to believe in true everlasting love. That was until 1987 when my husband and I of 8 years split up. I could' afford to leave because I had 2 kids. I got into a situation where I allowed him to live out his fantasy to be with another man. Ya, well he left me for him. I tried to commit suicide. Obviously, I failed. I was going to college and working. But this guy moved into our home. When I tried to commit suicide, I took a bunch of flexeril, a muscle relaxer. When I was in the hospital, that he worked at, the psychiatrist asked me why I did it. I didn't want to die. I just wanted the pain to stop. He asked me if my ex would come up and see me. Remember, we lived in the same house. All three of us. They slept in the living room. Anyway, As I was telling him "Yes, we don't hate each other. He'll be up when his shift is over." And then proceeded to watch him get in his car and leave as I was saying it. I was coming home from college one night and I was crying. I wanted it to just stop. All the pain. It was excruciating. I have never felt that type of pain before. I've had 3 miscarriages. I was sexually tortured as a small child. I was molested by step-father that had raised me since I one-and-a-half. I was repeatedly beaten by him and mentally and emotionally tortured as a child for 18 years by this man. Not everyday, but enough. Anyway, I would have traded all that pain and relived it ten times, than continue for one more day with the pain I was feeling. Then, as I was on my way home one night, I was crying. I was trying to think of ways to kill myself. Then, I heard this song come on the radio, "Hold On" by Wilson Phillips. I heard the chorus. "Hold on for one more day." I started to listen to it. For the first time in months, (I lived with them like that for about 7 months) I felt hope. I listened to the radio all day everyday hoping they would play the song. I changed channels constantly. It was the only thing that kept me going. I learned the words. But couldn't afford the cd. Every time I get down or hate life, I either listen to the song or just repeat the words in my head. It gives me the strength to go on for one more day. I think of all the other times I just wanted to give up and I would wait just one more day and the next would be better. And that would make me wait one more time. I would go to sleep and just not live that day as much as possible because I knew the next day would be better. I just went through a 10 year relationship, marriage and divorce and still together. It's been hard. But I found this site called my yearbook. It has a play list. Your song is on it. Now when I am on the computer, that is ALL I listen to. I am an author. My first book was just published. If it hadn't been for your song, it never would have happened. If it weren't for your song, my two children wouldn't have had a brother or a mother. There is a lot that wouldn't have happened for a lot of people. I have owned your cd three times. All three times someone took it. But I always hear the words. As an author, I like to know if what I wrote put a smile on someone’s face or touched their lives in anyway. It makes it all worth it. I just wanted to return the favor to another artist and let you know that ya, YOU DID CHANGE SOMEONES LIFE. YOU SAVED IT. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING THIS SONG. One way to get a sense of the buzz surrounding Wilson Phillips' current summer concert tour is by reading the ''love bytes'' that mysteriously appear each night on the band's dressing-room door: the crowd loves you blazed the message on July 6, their opening night in Concord, Calif. A couple of shows later, in Alabama, the notice read ladies of the night. The headline for a Saturday night concert in Lake Placid, N.Y., was only slightly more discreet. Scrawled in black ink across the backstage door of the Olympic Auditorium, it screamed wilson phillips-three hot babes! What's the meaning of these strange, emphatic messages? ''I want to give the girls a love of the road,'' says production manager Eric Williams, who grudgingly concedes to being the anonymous author in his self-appointed role as the band's tour cheerleader. In addition to his nightly banners, Williams pumps up the summer jam by attaching upbeat instructions to the band's set lists, including stage directions (''Work the crowd!'' ''Reach out to the audience!'') and peppy greetings for the local crowds (''Alabama, you guys look great!'' ''Let's get impulsive, New Jersey!''). ''I want to get the girls juiced up,'' he says. If the band needs pumping up, the crowds don't seem to. (I just shuddered.) Ordering a late breakfast at Xanadu when I saw that 2 feet away, WILLIAM BALDWIN and wife CHYNNA PHILLIPS are at a table waiting for their grub. Did not even recognise her. She looked beat- a skeletor-long raggedy hair, in a floor length white totally weird Hare Krishna getup. Not until Billy opened his sexy mouth to call her back inside to eat did I inwardly sigh upon hearing that famous Baldwin voice. Oh that dulcet, mellifluous voice! He looks good. My husband said "Has he done anything since Backdraft? ... Chynna was screeching into her cell; so obnoxious, looking for attention of which she got none, and finally for those of us eating outside, she succumbed to that Baldwin Brother siren-call and went back to her table. They were mentioned, but not in a way that I expected: Later on, when Ledbetter comes home with their small son Dylan — floppy-haired, barefoot and wearing a Hawaiian shirt — Wilson brightens. He's quieter when it comes to daughters Wendy and Carnie, who both live less than 10 miles away. "I don't talk to them very much. I used to. I recorded with them at one time, but I don't talk to them a lot," he says, explaining that the women are "really busy." I have to say that I was a little sad after reading that, especially with their history.
