for me it is definitely the canon flaws - especially the internal contradictions - in compelling material that seem to offer openings for fic musings.

I haven't figured out what key words to use in looking for it yet, but there has *got* to be some Highlander fic that tackles the problem of quickenings that involve multiple explosians in public places combined with a larger population that is utterly oblivious to them. Unfortunatley, most HL fic appears to be utterly pairing obsessed....so even if it does take this on, I can't tell from the summaries.
