and many of them live on a continum with the 'fix it' problems as it is. Or at least, they do in my head! *g*
But - obviously - many, many, many fanficers are drawn to different elements in stories. There is, for example, scads of Farscape fic - most of it (that I've read so far cavet inserted here) does not seem to be of the fix it variety (well, except fot the "Areyn has an abortion fics", but, well that's more of a "I hate this plot line" story than a canon fix/hole filling, or at least I think so!).
Or LOTR - what's to fix? There are no holes in Middle earth - at least, not of the gaping LFN variety! Obviously, I can see why people would be drawn to writing post fellowship stories, or stories about elves from the Simarillion - and some of those are things I've idly day dreamed about myself. But, I have no need to even read other people's stuff in this vein, much less write any myself.
So - I guess that's why I'm curious about this. There are source materials that I love dearly, but have no fic jones for....and I'm wondering about why that is so? (now HL? That's a universe with some gaping holes in logic that I've toyed with filling....LOL!)
