I'm glad you asked this question, you know - because 'fixing' is certainly *not* the reason I read/write fic. In fact, I'm not even particularly interested in fixing or canon gaps being filled unless you have my characters doing something interesting in the fic (which is probably the reason I stay away from OC fic. unless they're written by sk). It's fun to see other people's reasons. (And seems like I'm the only person here who *isn't* interested in it. Hmm.)
