Hi Pam my Dad worked in Distillers/ Dista for 36 years his name was Ossie Thomas. I worked in the dries n Evans Medical about 1971

I just about remember the wooden Baptist church on the corner of Oglet lane & Dunlops Rd, it was near Western Ave. My mother had a picture of us in there attending a celebration for the Queens coronation in 53....I was 3. don't remember exactly when they demolished, but it wasn't too many years later. We continued to call it the Baptist field for many years after. In the next field were allotments, with an old POW camp that we would play in. I lived in Western Ave until 69.
