Hey,
I went to tigerdirect and was going to buy a maxtor hard drive, but my cousin told me to buy a western digital...so I did. I'm not a fan of tigerdirect...for their shipping on a hard drive is $9.30. Outrageous. So I went to newegg.com and got a bigger harddrive and only paid one dollar shipping and came out ahead by $8.30.
Gotta run to class.

So tim, what hard drive did you get then? Cause the one i was thinking of would have been about 100 dollars after the rebate and shipping. And that was 200 gigs too.

I only need 40 gigs of hard drive space, and honestly...I could probably get by just fine with 20. So I was looking at 40 gig hard drives...and I was going to get a Maxtor. It was 57.99. Then I was checking out and the shipping was $9.30...which I felt was outrageous. So I asked around and someone said, check out newegg.com. I did, and I found a Western Digital, (which my cousin said was the best brand...the cousin who sold us the speakers...Greg..and I trust him) which was 80 gigs...for $60. And of course...shipping was a nice $1. So for $61 I got an 80 gig Western Digital from newegg.com, which was $8.30 less than a 40 gig Maxtor from tigerdirect.

Sounds like a pretty good deal. But i would have personally gotten the 200 gig for a 100 after rebates. But then i am a storage whore.
