The place was packed last night, and you sure felt it when they turned off the air and it got a little hotter in there. I am not talking about when Maraganis laid out his performance, or when Espindle finished up her little speech. I am talking down right hot. Thank god I wore shorts.

How did we get such an increase in the turn out? I am sure the schools played a big part in it by sending papers home.

What was interesting was up in the nosebleed section how people were starting to act like they were at a WWE event and voting on their favorite wrestler. I kept my mouth shut and just took it all in with a smile. I’d hate to say it, but it set a clear example how this can be torn easily.

I think Chief Leo Gaudette sent the message out clear that this is something “we all” have to deal with. The numbers do stink and if anyone’s belt hasn’t been tightened up, then they have a problem. The numbers are here and we have to work with it. It’s what we can do to strategize for the near future.

I myself trust what the Town Manager has laid out for us. What can we do to adjust it, and how can we plan to combat this issue in the future?

All in all it was very interesting to see such a turn out like that.

Just my quick thoughts!

Michael H.
