Warren and I have recovered from our stuporferous hiatus and will be hosting the show this Thursday.

We have two town committees represented: The Community Preservation Committee (CPC) and the Finance Committee (Fincom). Our agenda will be three-fold (until Warren changes his mind and plunges off in any old direction that suits his fancy!). ;-0

First, we want people to see and meet the very hard working, and unsung, people who staff our committees. Our town would not function without these very dedicated people, who, in addition to being unappreciated, are completely uncompensated.

Second, we want to inform our viewers about how the system works. For example, the CPC was created by the Town's implementation of the Community Preservation Act, and its makeup, and its responsibilities, are directed by state statute and regulation. The Fincom provided for by our Town Charter. It's like our own little GAO or Congressional Budget Office (CBO). Their job is to advise the legislators (the Town Meeting) about budgetary and financial issues.

Last but not least, we want to address the issues that these committees confront. Specifically this week, we want to address the issues coming before the Town Meeting this Monday, June 2nd.

See you then!
