I find the notion of boredom as a way to avoid pain absolutely fascinating, no pun intended. Right this minute I am using fascination as a way to avoid the pain of, in a moment, having to go to my next job, where I will clean the house of a woman who plays soap operas on her tv's in three rooms of her house so no one will miss a moment of the story, even if she is simultaneously talking on the phone!!!!!! (Whew.) (thanks for letting me vent.) Oh, the places I would rather be!
