Kyla, thanks for your thoughtful reply. It is interesting to see that you are starting to move back in the direction of more bliss. Perhaps, I sometimes think, we have just been in a very long contraction phase which will eventually open up into more expansiveness. Like a very deep trough in the wave patterns of the ocean that eventually opens out to become the crest of a new wave.

I have been doubting the value of the continual down direction, wondering whether it would ever end and intuiting that there must be more to life than just this. Interestingly enough, barely had I written the above than the answers started coming. I am seeing something now that pretty much reconciles me to the need to go down deeply enough to where the trough becomes the crest, to finally fall into the bottom of that trough and begin to emerge on the other side. That seems to be happening now and I'll write more about it later.

So thank you for being a part of my process and for the good words about numbing out. I also enjoyed reading your posts on the other forum, especially the one concerning money making ventures in spiritual circles. I think you may have started an interesting conversation there.
