I've just tried posting a reply to you, Kyla and Art, on the other Forum, but it seems complicated...I keep getting your messages in the text box and blahhhhhhhh. Can't be bothered with it, so I thought I'd post a reply here!

Just wanted to say how SPOT ON I think Kyla is to bring up the surivial issues (root chakra, as you described it, I think?). This is literally vital and any teacher who actually depends on teaching for a living needs to come clean and/or be aware of issues around this. I have seen in myself just how strong this survival force is and I personally don't think any teacher or therapist can be acting totally in the other's interest or totally cleanly or "objectively" when they are depending on their client's money to put food on their table. This is also what makes any spiritual community difficult if the lead teachers are so financially invested in keeping alive something that, one day, shouldn't be. It's the same for any working environment, any person in a job, whether it's "secular" or "spiritual".
