 First wicca is one of the most ancient religons on the face of the earth so to call it new age is contradictory in terms. And the only way christianity came to light was to force it upon people and those who could not be forced into then the catholics in particular would adopt holidays from the ancient pagan beliefs to suit the needs of persons who felt they were not selling out. Christmas was originally a Pagan holiday, Believing in an afterlife was a pagan belief. The only people who wer ever mislead were those of the crusades when if you refused to beleive in jesus and one god you had to practice underground. People remain closed minded. Ask a true wiccan if they truly despise anyone they will say no and they force no one to join their/our beliefs. Perhaps the evolution or rebirth of wicca is due to the fact that the church has let people down. They have truly not been there for anyone in fact when their minions committed unspeakable acts they hid it from the people. Why does the pope live richely when all the churches have to close? The Church is filled with contradictions and can be picked apart day in day out but thats not the point. The point is we are bornm with the right to believe in what we want and love who we want to and not the government nor church has the right to dictate to us which or who we put our faith in. God in the bible never meant for us to worship him the way persons do now he wishes us to simply beleive whether quietly or passionately but as I a christioan would not want to be forced into wiccan or such a wiccan does not wish to be preached to about christianity. this only manifests ignorance and war. Sorry if this offends anyone but it is how I feel.
