No no no, Rob. Killing is wrong. Killing one person is as bad as committing genocide. When it comes to war, we are there for one purpose; Kill Them All. The idea that a war can be won by idealism is as radical an idea as the one a suicide bomber has for thinking that killing himself, and as many innocents as possible, will effect change or promote his own agenda.
Organized resistance must be squashed as quickly and as thoroghly as possible. If we are to win a war and then leave, then why fight it in the first place? The idea that we can go into a country, kill the bad guys, and then leave, all while hoping to affect some positive change is ludicrous. If we are to fight and win a war, every armed male must be killed, every stronghold of resistance reduced to dust, every hope of defying the invaders (liberators) must be irradicated.
Clearly we are not there to affect any positive change. In stead we are there to disrupt the economy of the middle east so that we can line the pockets of our fine president and his friends in the white house and Saudi Arabia.
The only way to accomplish what the administration proports to have wished to accomplish would be to have done this completely differently. They said we just wanted Sadam gone. What we did is drectly cause the deaths of innocents by cluster bombs, regular bombs, and gunfire as well as indirectly causing the deaths of innocents due to lack of sanitation, lack of electrical power (by destroying their power grid and water supply with our bombs), and massive civil disorder. We should have dropped a single nuke on the palace when we knew he was there and killed him along with any of his top dogs that were there, and the few innocents that were there. If we just dropped a bomb they would still have the infrastructure to govern themselves, provide necessities for life, and they would have lost far fewer innocents.
